Waiting - for the marks for my 'Retrospect & Prospect' submission to be released.  They count towards my degree, so they're important!  How do I think I've done? I really don't know , but I gave it my best shot.  Anything over 70 would be fatastic!

 

In Novermber 2021 twenty-seven unvisa'd migrants died when their flimsy rubber boat deflated in the English Channel. I was shocked and angry that the authorities on both sides of the channel appeared to ignore their cell phone calls for help, then spent more effort subequently defending their inaction than ettempting to solve the problem. I dont think that saying it's some other country's problem is helpful.

That's what my  work was about. 'Story of water' followed a family 

from the mountains of Iraq as they are driven from their home by so-called Islamic State,  housed in a refugee camp, turn to people- traffickers for help, make the long, illegal journey to France, then try to get to England.

My marks came back , and they were over 70 as I'd hoped.  That puts me in a good position to et a good final mark.

My final project is a work based around psychiatric art therapy helping a young man with paranoid schizophrenia to come to terms with his hallucinations. It's still at an early stage, but I'll post extracts on this site as they r
